Woven Photos

After being invited to the Zygote Press 15th anniversary show coming up 4/15/11, and not wanting to submit a boring picture amongst all the cool printmaker’s pieces, I was motivated to come up with a new concept.

I was looking at a few of my abstract pictures and thought of cutting two of them into 1/2″ strips and weaving them together like a basket.

Whether it worked or not, at least I would have a skill appropriate for my radidly approaching old age.

Here’s the result, which Zygote graciously accepted:

Although an original idea, after making it, a Google search informed me I’m not the first by any means, however none of the others looked anything like this.
